Ceramics-Decorative Techniques

This course is oriented to those who are particularly interested in the pictorical techniques for decorating ceramic objects. Using various types of colours, engobes and glazes and tools such as brushes, air-brushes and stencils and masks, the student will become familiar with many different styles and methods for decorating ceramic works. The student will also study the raku technique and the use of coloured glass.

• -Metallic luster colours
• -Transparent glazes
• -Masking and resist techniques
• -Decorating bisque work with colours, glazes and glass
• -Decorations applied over glazes (majolica)
